How to create vias in pads within Eagle

Hi,
I using the free edition of Eagle and I have a pad that I need to make that is not square and has vias in it.
I can't seem to find a way to do this.  Could you help?

Hello

I can help with this. To be able to give you the best solution, please provide a link to the datasheet for the device.

I did build the footprint based on you image and found it used more eagle skills, in a single footprint (package), than most.

I had a look at the device in the Allegro library as far back as v4 where the package it was different again but reflecting the abilities of EagleCAD at that time.
In my version ,v7.7, its dimensionally its correct but needs reviewing and further updating. Particularly  in the area of the solder stop tStop and bStop. and the way the slots are defined. Have a look and you will see what I mean.

This may get you productive the quickest. Personally I would change the approach used there as it may confuse a PCB manufacturer and would likely need some explaining

If it is still your goal to learn how to create the foot print from scratch I'll send a blow by blow description. It's not a short story but it will drive you to develop Eagle skills that every user should learn if they are to be successful with Eagle.
