Eagle (9.3.0) library device editor not showing symbols

I recently upgraded to Eagle 9.3.0 and I'm seeing some different behavior from my previous version. Basically, when creating parts in my library, I don't see a way to edit symbols within device editor. When editing a device, the footprint shows up but no symbol.

Screen shot from version 9.3.0 showing no symbols for device (even though the device is linked to a symbol in the table of contents):

The previous version of Eagle I was using (8.4) looks like this with symbols shown:

I'm sure this is something simple, but I've been struggling for a few hours trying to change a symbol associated with a device. help please?

As suspected, I'm an idiot. The symbol view is clearly hiding, waiting to be expanded, on the left side of the screenshot. I guess I will leave this post as a testament to that time I wasted a bunch of time looking for something that was right in front of my face.

Ha! Yes, well, I wasted a bunch of time not that long ago trying to
figure out why ALL the symbols in a particular library were invisible in
the control panel... only to discover the library in question had last
been saved with all layers turned off.
