Error: line 12002, column 6: redefinition of name 'GND' in tag <net>

Hi all,
i have a problem opening a schematic in EAGLE 7.7.
Error: line 12002, column 6: redefinition of name 'GND' in tag <net>

Can anybody help me solve this problem?

Hi

The board file was not liked by Eagle because of a design mistake that confused it,
As the error said, it had the GND net defined twice on a sheet.

In fact there were three sheets with the same issue. Sheets 3, 5 and 6
What confused Eagle was caused on sheet 1 where  GND and AGND were connected. Trouble is, both GND and AGND are supply pins and hence endeavor to force the net to their name.  GND and AGND had a fight and GND won.

I have attached the changed file which will load in Eagle v7.7 but you will need to make the changes to get the design done correctly at the star point.  I have removed the incorrect net connection that was between GND and AGND at the star point (sheet1).  Once that point was separated I changed the net segments connected to AGND on sheets 3, 5 and 6 as those nets had become named GND, so please verify this is what you intend.

As for the star point connecting of GND and AGND there is a library around by Olin that provides a 'switch' that keeps nets apart and yet is  a copper bridge on the PCB. I'll leave it to you to hunt that down.

I located the libraries by Olin Lathrop (Embed Inc (http://www.embedinc.com/embed.htm) )
I have extracted the 'shorts' library with which you can connect GND and AGND together on the schematic. I suspect you will need to approve one DRC error, on the board.
