Very new to the Lubuntu and Eagle community but early want to dive in head first. However, I am having some trouble installing eagle on by Dell laptop.
I'm getting the following error:

~/Downloads/eagle-9.2.2$ ./eagle run
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what():  locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid
Aborted (core dumped)

Any one have any ideas as to what this means and or a fix?

You may need to set your system locale - https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Configure_Locales_in_Ubuntu

Make sure you set it to the correct locale for your country and one that is supported by Eagle.

Worked!

How did you know to to solve this? I'm not sure what the error even means and or how it relates to the locales.

If you see the error message:
what():  locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid

It gives us a good clue. On systems with no locale defined, the locale is often called 'c'. Hence, the error is complaining that attempting to create 'c' locale that the locale itself is not valid -> implying the locale is not supported and also telling us that you have no locale set.

Glad to hear that setting the locale fixed it.
